Applications are invited from suitably qualified and skilled candidates for this position at the Feed Mill, as part of the Kariega operations. The Maintenance Assistant will be responsible for general preventative and corrective maintenance.

A Grade 12 or equivalent qualification is required, as well as any mechanical maintenance experience, preferably in a feed mill. Knowledge of electrical tools and testers. Experience and knowledge of electrical systems will be advantageous. This position reports to the Maintenance Manager.

Results Required:

• Assist artisans to perform scheduled
maintenance on plant and equipment either on-
site or in the workshop;
• Perform scheduled maintenance under
supervision;
• Clean area, clean and pack tools and return
equipment when work is completed;
• Ensure that allocated job cards are timeously
attended to;
• Clean area, clean and pack tools and return

• Keep mechanical workshop area clean and tidy;
• Assist artisans on minor projects, repairs and
refurbishment work.
