Leading Financial Services Company in Johannesburg has an opportunity for a Life Underwriter who will report to the Lead Specialist: Underwriting.

Purpose of the role:

• Provide specialist advice and support relating to underwriting.
• Applying set rules to guard against risk, in alignment with related scheme and policy conditions, through the execution of predefined objectives as per agreed SOPs.

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years Underwriting Life Insurance experience
• Must be able to sign off on cases of R9M and above
• Must have strong financial underwriting skills to include personal and business insurance
• Must have demonstrated experience in complex underwriting
• Ability to analyse and provide input on the risk profile of applicants on the basis of medical history and other stipulated parameters

Education Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree and Advanced Diploma in Finance
