Tender Administrator

Reporting to and assisting the Senior Estimator, this position will be based in Durban.

Requirements / Qualifications & Experience

- Minimum Grade 12/ Diploma (Construction Related)
- Proven previous experience in overall co-ordination of tenders in the industry; and preparation of accurate, complete tenders
- Proven working experience of filling out of BOQ’s
- Working knowledge of tender requirements, including legal documentation requirements for submission of tenders
- Previous experience in handling all tender related correspondence, pre and post tender stage
- MS Office

Key Performance areas – include but not limited to:
- Overall responsible for the co-ordination of all tender documentation from start to finish
- Overall responsible for quality control of all tender documents; pre – and post tender stage
- Updating of tender register
- Client liaison w.r.t. info required for tender submissions
- Responsible for facilitating effective document flow between external companies; internal departments and the Estimating department
- Monitoring of incoming requests for quotations; liaison with Estimator on possible work advertised
- Filling out of BOQ’s
- Assistance to procurement department for sourcing quotations
- Follow up of quotations
- Liaison with marketing department regarding news on awarded projects and completed projects
- Follow up of professional registrations
- Monitoring and control of legal documentation required for submission of tenders
