CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

  • Mature couple with previous experience in managing a Caravan Park
  • Excellent computer skills – Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Excellent communication (read and write in English) and interpersonal skills
  • Good understanding of occupational health, safety, and hygiene practice
  • Previous general maintenance experience is advantageous
  • Exceptional level of professionalism, maturity, and emotional intelligence at all times
  • Well-presented, self-motivated / positive, and energetic
  • Driver’s License and own transport
  • This is a live-in position

KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

  • Manage all Caravan Park Staff and Security Staff.
  • Identifies training needs of staff in the department and trains where necessary.
  • Maintain clean, orderly and hazard free work areas.
  • Ensure that all laws, regulations, licenses and company policies pertaining to the operation of the Caravan Park and Security function are adhered to.
  • To create loyalty, trust and respect amongst the entire Caravan Park and Security team by transparent, consistent, inspirational and motivational management style.
  • Responsible for performance management of departmental staff.
  • Maintain excellent relationship with all Caravan Park Guests with aim to anticipate, meet and exceed all Guest’s expectations.
  • Be able to handle and resolve Guest complaints in a respectful manner.
  • Implement and maintain all criteria related to Occupational Health and Safety (OHS). This will include First Aid, Fire Fighting and Equipment, Hazardous chemicals and cleaning supplies.
  • Ensure that regular stock takes are scheduled including consumables and operating equipment as well as maintaining Caravan Park equipment and fixed assets throughout all outlets and ensures that they are carried out in accordance with the Company’s policy and procedures and that they are accurate and acted upon.
  • Revenue Control - Fully responsible for the Caravan Park’s financial performance and long term sustainability.
  • Maintain appropriate staffing levels throughout the Caravan Park and Security Department, according to operational requirements.
  • Ensure all Staff have correct and appropriate company supplied uniform and are well presented.
  • Ensure all relevant areas of the Hotel, Caravan Park, Country Club, Service Station and Shopping Centre have sufficient Security Guards on duty at all times.
  • Ensure all caravan/camp sites and self-catering accommodation units are clean, tidy and well-maintained.
  • Ensure Guest Ablutions at the Caravan Park are consistently neat, clean well maintained.
  • Ensure all gardens, trees, plants and lawns are neat, tidy and well maintained.
  • Ensure the Tidal Pool is clean, tidy and well maintained.
  • Ensure the beach in front of the Hotel and Caravan Park is clean, tidy and well maintained.
  • Perform additional duties, which may be required or as requested by the Directors and or General Manager.
  • Attend to breakdown of machinery and equipment and general repairs in the shortest possible time, with the assistance of the Maintenance department.
  • Liaise with Maintenance Department regarding the Annual Preventative Maintenance Schedule and ensure that all machinery and equipment is maintained in accordance with the schedule.
  • After-hour Maintenance assistance at the Hotel, Country Club, Service Station and Shopping Centre as and when required.

Please note you will both be required to work weekends, Public Holidays and after-hours.
