ROLE PURPOSE
The Finance Business Analyst & Implementation Specialist will drive the implementation of sound finance discipline and elements within the Momentum ecosystem in particular through the systems and processes that interact with MDS ensuring we increase our effectiveness and reduce our risk of error and compliance ensuring integration and governance of financial data across all finance platforms, which will enable automated, speedy reporting of Financial data to drive effective business decisions.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND WORK OUTPUTS
Internal processes
Translating MDS 7 Strategic objectives into finance process maps and tactical plans. Ensuring mapping and unpacking of process dependencies in relation to the various enablement areas.
Develop and drive the implementation plans of finance technology solutions that support the finance and operations community in achieving its objectives.
Translating process optimisation solutions into system enhancements and identify opportunities to automate processes in collaboration with DTS stakeholders.
Drive the alignment of all systems development to the architectural blueprint and ensure architectural components are integrated
Audit and Test systems to ensure data integrity and security standards are adhered to.
Drive the improved and quality of systems by implementing initiatives that optimise performance, staff productivity and service delivery. Diagnosing and identifying service gap failures and implementing optimisation initiatives. Identifying and tracking a short-term improvement plan as well as a longer term systemic view
Evaluate existing financial operational practices across MDS, understand levels of inefficiency and drive change towards improved levels of efficacy in all financial controls across MMH.
Facilitate engagements to ensure alignment of thinking around best practices, pertaining to financial controls
Initiating projects and focusing on delivery of IT and non-IT dependencies.
Documenting processes and operationalize the processes through communication and practice notes.

Compiling and controlling budgets to minimise expenditure in alignment with tactical delivery plans.
Authorising expenses and implementing of financial regulations.
Managing high-risk and problematic financial issues contributing to policy development.
Implementing and managing financial risk methodologies, techniques and systems.
Monitoring and reporting on financial activities.
Implementing and providing feedback on the effectiveness of financial policy, practice and procedures.
Preventing illegal, unethical, or improper conduct.
Implementing risk management, governance and compliance policies.

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
Qualifications:
BCom degree in Finance, Information Systems, Business Management or BSc degree in Engineering required
Experience:
3-5 years' experience in financial services corporate
3-5 years' experience in Project management and Business Process Analyst
3-5 years client experience management or process optimisation within a financial services environment required

This position reports into the Head: Finance and Human Capital Operations in the Momentum Distirbution Services Division.
The successful candidate will be working remotely.
