A well-established hotel is looking for an experienced Projects & Procurement Specialist to source and procure materials or equipment according to project requirements.  The successful candidate will research, evaluate potential suppliers and develop new vendors in accordance to the company's SOP's.

Responsibilities:

• Relationship management:  suppliers, internal teams and other departments
• Effectively run and co-ordinate approved budgeted refurbishment projects and the procurement thereof
• Review and negotiate annual contract renewals, all service providers
• Negotiate of Service Level Agreements
• Maintain database - update and file all material requisitions, quotations and purchase orders as per the company's SOP's
• Oversee and coordinate with the various stores within the Hotel
• Prepare and distribute procurement and delivery reports to respective departments timely
• Keep abreast of the market and conduct a regular price comparison
• Liaise with Purchasing Manager for any improvement to the purchasing process/flow/system to enhance the work efficiency and effectiveness
• Take responsibility for purchasing of goods during all stages from material regulation till the purchase order (PO) closed in the system
• Submit weekly report to manager reflecting accurate update of goods purchased and highlighting any issues
• Perform other duties assigned or as instructed by the manager

Requirements:

• National Diploma or Degree - NQF Level 6 / 7
• 5 Years' experience in a similar position
• A Project Management Qualification is advantageous
• A Supply Chain Qualification would be advantageous
• Experience in Hotel refurbishments and Project Management essential
• Computer skills:  MS Office, Micros & Opera PMS
• Ability to work late shifts
