Kendrick Recruitment is now searching for a suitably qualified & 5* lodge experienced Assistant Head Chef for a top-rated 5* game lodge, situated in the world-famous Sabi Sands Game Reserve, Mpumalanga.  

Duties include:

  • Menu Planning – A la Carte
  • Fine Dining Food Preparation & Cooking 
  • Stock Control / Stock Taking
  • Kitchen Hygiene
  • Assisting Head Chef with Kitchen Operation
  • Guest Liaison

Requirements for this position:

  • Min three years’ experience as a Sous Chef at a Five Star Lodge  (ESSENTIAL)
  • Strong all-rounder (in all kitchen divisions, including Pastry)
  • Grade 12
  • Diploma with City & Guilds
  • Drivers license advantageous
  • Must be well spoken and presentable
  • Team Player
  • Be mature & professional with sober habits
  • Ability and willingness to work in whatever area necessary

Salary: R13,500 (neg). This will be a live-in position. 36 days on and 12 days off cycle. Medical aid contribution after 3 months.
